This is a bud vase made of pure copper. We use antique and contemporary metalsmithing tools and techniques to form and texture the metal. The images are painted on to the copper by hand using specialty paints and then etched with electrical current. We finish the surface with layers of bronze patina until we acheive the color we want then we wax and buff the copper to enhance the subtleties of the etchings and protect the metal from water. One of a kind.
