This is a bud vase forged from pure copper. We use antique and contemporary metalsmithing tools and techniques to form and texture the metal. This vase has been etched using a special paint that is hand painted onto the surface of the copper; then is etched using an electrical current. This vase has a dark bronze patina applied in several layers until we like the color and then we buff the patina to enhance the subtleties of the etchings and the marks from our hammers. Lastly, we wax the metal to protect the patina from water. One of a kind.
