This is a bud vase forged from pure copper. We use antique and contemporary metalsmithing tools and techniques to form and texture the metal. This vase was etched using a special paint that is hand-painted onto the surface of the copper. The metal was then etched using an electrical current, and a dark bronze patina was applied in several layers until the desired color was reached. Lastly, we buff the patina to enhance the subtle textures in the etchings and the marks from our hammers and then wax the metal to protect the patina from water. One of a kind.
