This is a bud vase made from pure copper. We use antique and contemporary metalsmithing tools and techniques to form and texture the metal. The surface images are drawn by hand on to the copper using a specialized paint, then are etched into the copper with electrical current. We applied bronze patina in several layers to achieve the color we want then it is buffed to enhance the color of the copper and the details of the etching. Apply a layer of wax to protect the patina from water. Unique and one of a kind.
