Vase #85 - 6"
This vase is hand formed and forged from pure copper. Using many different shapes and sizes of hammers, we shape the vase and refine the surface texture. The bronze patina is added by applying and removing layers until we get the desired depth of color. This gorgeous organic design is based on a vase designed by Dirk van Erp (1862-1933) who was a prominent Bay Area metalsmith and we produced this vase in collaboration with the Dirk van Erp Foundation. The surface is waxed to protect the patina from moisture. Well balanced, this vase will securely hold a generous amount of your largest flowers.
